  • Assess, analyse, plan and adjust lifting operations on offshore sites in line with CLIENT standards
  • Advise Contractor's objectives and expectations for HSE, accountability and performance of Lifting Activity
  • Maintain systematic and methodological approach to Lifting Operations and assist Company CPLO and Major Project SLS Lead by establishing reliable system of documentation, processes and personnel competency assurance;
  • Ensure flawless operation of Handling and Lifting and continuous improvement during offshore brownfield hook-up campaign.


  • Al Shaheen field development will involve several new projects that would be executed in parallel over the period of 5 years with CAPEX investment of around 3.3 Billion USD. The Project consists of:
  • Batch 1 EPCIC1 (completed): Three 24 slots WHP Jackets (FC, DC, EG), and with permanent drilling decks. Optional Early Productions Facilities. Water depth are 60 to 70m, Jacket weight is approx. 1800MT.
  • Batch1 EPCIC2 (completed): Three production topsides and bridges for WHP (FC, DC, EG) to process and send production to existing facilities via bridges. Topside weight is approx. 3,000 MT, Bridge 100m/1,000MT. Several months of offshore hook-up campaign with the assistance of 3 flotel jack-ups. Construction yard in Vung Tau, Vietnam.
  • Batch 1 EPCIC3: Two 8 km new pipelines of 14" and 20" + risers to link existing platforms with some brown field preparation works. Engineering in Singapore
  • Batch 2: Two WHP (EH, CE) jackets + topsides, bridge linked to existing facilities. Construction yard in Batam. Engineering in Kuala Lumpur
  • Batch 3: Two WHP + 1 CPP + UFR (at FEED stage)
  • Job holder is for now planned to be assigned to batch 2 with assistance to EPCIC3. Roles will be as follows:
  • Act as offshore technical advisor of handling and lifting service for the batch 2 topsides hook-up and brownfield Campaign + pipeline and risers installation hook-up and brownfield campaign (on rotation mainly offshore from March till January 2022)
  • Promote safe handling and lifting operation referring CLIENT HSE policy and international standard
  • Supervise as Client Lifting Representative the handling and lifting operations, rotating between 4 sites (A, C, E and F)
  • Insures the promotion/implementation of Company Lifting & Handling procedures and safety culture on site
  • Participates in the definitions of the Company Lifting & Handling procedures and participates in the internal audits on behalf of CPLO.


  • Provide expertise in daily handling & lifting activities including the categorization of lifts
  • Risk assessment and hazard identification
  • Assist Company CPLO and Lead SLS in technical review of lifting operations
  • Selection of equipment for lifting operations
  • Attendance at lifting toolbox talks
  • Post-job debriefs
  • Assessment of completed jobs
  • Review of lift plans
  • Promote safe handling and lifting operation referring CLIENT HSE police and international standard, review engineering calculation for complex and complicated lifts
  • Review complicated and complex lift plan and attend the lifts
  • Perform condition check and fitness for purpose on lifting appliances, CCUs, and evaluate their utilization on site
  • Provide lifting and handling expertise advice to all HSE Site Authority (HSE-SA) and HSE-SA-Delegates To be Involved in plans internal audits of the lifting operations, participates in lifting operations incident investigation and analyses


Major Projects involve the development of new offshore platforms bridge linked to the existing facilities, and installation of subsea pipelines and risers. These activities will be executed across several international sites. Projects will require complex interfaces with other entities of CLIENT
